Registration as MIRAI Technology Heritage

The Association’s Japanese Penicillin Ampule registered as an Essential Historical Material for Science and Technology

The National Museum of Nature and Science has been registering Essential Historical Materials for Science and Technology (also known as MIRAI Technology Heritage) since FY2008.

In FY2019, Japanese Penicillin Ampule, an asset owned by the Association (kept at the Naito Museum of Pharmaceutical Science and Industry) was one of 26 newly registered historical materials. The certificate of registration and a commemorative plaque were conferred at a ceremony held on 10 September.

Some of the registered materials are on exhibit for a limited time at the Central Hall, on the 1st floor of Japan Gallery, National Museum of Nature and Science.
